is originally from Brooklyn, New York. After an enlistment with
the US Air Force, Carl attended college in Philadelphia and graduated
from Temple University with his degree in physical therapy. He then
re-entered the Air Force and was commissioned a medical officer,
serving from 1985-1988. He then began a career with several outpatient
orthopedic private practices in Philadelphia before moving to Virginia.
Upon moving to Virginia, Carl started working for INOVA Health Systems
in Woodbridge and North Stafford. In 2001 Carl struck out on his
own and opened Grace Physical Therapy in Fredericksburg. After 11
years running his own private practice he decided to spend more
time with his family and sold the business. Carl joined Fredericksburg
Orthopedic Associates on Fall Hill Avenue in May 2015 and currently
serves as the Director of Physical Therapy.
addition to his work with FOA, Carl also volunteers his physical
therapy services at the Moss Free Clinic in Fredericksburg.
has continued to refine his orthopedic skills through post-graduate
continuing education courses, which have concentrated on manual
therapy skills, and evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal
disorders of the spine and upper and lower extremities.
is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA),
the Virginia Physical Therapy Association (VPTA), and the Orthopedic
Section of the APTA.
lives in Spotsylvania with his wife and when not working enjoys
travelling to see his children and grandchildren in Virginia Beach
and Pennsylvania and Ohio.
